OAC Individual Project Grant Eligibility

Grant Max amount: $500

The purpose of the OAC Individual Project Grant is to award an artist creating a project in any arts media, with a plan to present or distribute that art, the means to complete that project or achieve a higher level of quality. We hope to encourage and help create creativity within our membership and the Foothills.

Eligible Artists:

  • Must be a memberof the OAC

  • Must live within the Municipal MD of the Foothills. Towns included are Okotoks, High River, Black Diamond, Longview, Turner Valley, Aldersyde, Blackie, Cayley, DeWinton, Hartell, Millarville, Naptha, Priddis.

 

Eligible Projects:

  • May be a project with any arts focus. (Eg. film, theatre, dance, visual, culinary, literary, music, etc.)

  • Must be feasibly achievable within 6 months of grant approval; unless clearly stated and explained in application.

  • Must have plan for public presentation of project. Upon request the OAC can help to facilitate.

 

Items that will not be funded by the OAC grant:

  • Capital (eg. permanent equipment, purchased space, etc.)

  • Professional development or education

  • Projects made in conjunction with curricular projects

  • Fundraisers

 

OAC acknowledgment:

  • Appropriate recognition for the Okotoks Arts Council support will be discussed as part of the application process
