Event overview

On Tuesday, April 25th five performing ar st-songwriters will come together to share an in mate, acous c show at the Theatre Junc on Grand, providing the audience with an opportunity to learn more about the ar sts and the story behind their songs. Hosted by Tenille, a local singer and songwriter from Grande Prairie, and her charitable organiza on Big Hearts, for Big Kids, The Second Annual Big Hearts for the Tim Horton Children’s Founda on will help provide memorable camp experiences for youth across North America.

Each year, the Tim Horton Children’s Founda on, in partnership with restaurant owners and corporate supporters, provides memorable and enriching camp experiences to thousands of youth from low-income families. Suppor ng the Tim Horton Children’s Founda on not only makes a meaningful and las ng impact in the lives of youth, it allows our sponsors to align their organiza on with one of Canada’s most recognizable brands and charitable ini a ves, and demonstrates their commitment to changing lives, and shaping communi es.

1 in 6 youth in North America live in poverty. Research shows that although these individuals have the poten al and desire to succeed, they lack the opportuni es and face numerous barriers in reaching their full poten al. A Tim Horton Children’s Founda on camp experience is designed to provide youth with the opportunity to build las ng strengths and life skills, which allow them to thrive at school, show resiliency in the face of challenges, succeed in their future workplaces, and become posi ve, contribu ng members of their communi es.

About the Tim Horton Children’s Foundation

Since 1974, the Tim Horton Children’s Founda on has been dedicated to building brighter futures for youth within communi es across Canada and the United States. With the help of our generous supporters, we have established seven inspiring camp facili es, and con nue to provide meaningful camp experiences for thousands of youth from low-income families each year.

1 in 6 youth in North America live in poverty. The reality for many of these youth is that even though they have the desire and capacity to succeed, they o en face numerous barriers in reaching their full poten al. Through our two signature camp programs, Founda on camp programming helps our campers develop las ng strengths and life skills that allow them to thrive at school, develop resiliency in the face of challenges, succeed in their future workplaces, and become posi ve, contribu ng members of their communi es. Camp is o en the catalyst for change, and can be that pivotal moment that can tun a young person’s life around.
