The Okotoks Annual Children’s Festival has been part of the ever-popular Spirit of Okotoks Weekend in June for several years. The festival is filled with children’s craft activities and entertainers in the park, a parade, and various events around the town. Each year finds larger crowds and mostly great weather combined to create a day with something for everybody, and this year will be no exception! FREE admission.  

Bring the whole family out to Ethel Tucker Park from 1pm to 4pm to enjoy:

  • Balloon creationists
  • Face painting
  • Bubble blowing
  • Craft Tables
  • Blow up obstacle course
  • Concession where everything is $1

Children's Entertainers:

Al Simmons' act is a one-man, multi-prop, music-filled, off the wall performance thatis sure to have his audience laughing the whole way through. Al's humour touches a responsive chord in people of every age.

Matt Duffus is billed as a folk singer and family entertainer and his slogan is music fun for everyone. He is a guitarist, vocalist, harmonicist and kazooist and entertains all ages with a wide variety of songs. His performances are well known to children and he has a knack for keeping the kids hopping. Mat likes to get everyone involved in his shows -don't be surprised if you find yourself volunteering to play a kazoo, sing your heart out or play an instrument because he loves audience participation.

The Heebee-jeebees are a Canadian a cappella quartet formed in 1993 in Calgary, Canada. The Heebee-jeebees have released 8 recordings, all to international recognition including 4 CARA nominations and 2 CARA Awards. They have won the Canadian A Cappella Northern Harmony Championships twice, and have been named the inaugural inductee into the Northern Harmony Hall of Fame. Currently the band's lineup is Jonathan Love (tenor), Chris Herard (tenor), Ken Lima-Coelho (tenor), and Cédric Blary (bass).

Explore an ancient civilization that flourished for thousands of years. The Nile River Valley of 5000 years ago was the birthplace of a remarkable civilization. Protected from foreign invasion by vast deserts and sustained by fertile soil along the river, the ancient Egyptians developed from a simple agricultural community into a sophisticated society. Under a system of divine kingship, this Egyptian civilization flourished and endured for thousands of years and contributed strongly to the later cultures of the Mediterranean and Europe.
