Elisa Shigehiro

Natasha Miller

Natasha Miller a Canadian artist uses her own mixture of charcoal/soot/ash mixture and acrylic paint on acid free paper for her original paintings.

“Natasha Miller is a self taught artist who was born and raised on Vancouver Island but now lives on a tiny island in the Bay of Fundy. Natasha has pioneered and specializes in a unique painting technique where she creates monochrome silhouette seascapes and landscapes using a homemade maple charcoal\ash\soot compound from her mobile Italian wood fired pizza oven (Eco pizza art!) and acrylic paint used for the splashes of colour and fine details. She has always drawn inspiration from the silhouettes all around- sunsets foreshadowed by trees and Canada’s rugged coastlines, the sea and it's boats, birds and beaches and her current work reflects this. Michael Perks/Little Monkey Metal

Michael Perks and his wife Claire run a thriving business called “Little Monkey Metal,” in Okotoks, Alberta. often you will see his artwork on display at the Millarville Market in the summer.

“Bringing the cold element of steel to life, Michael Perks is a breakout artist that is turning heads.  From sheets of steel Michael cuts, layers, bends & welds metal to the verge of his imagination.  
”Over the past 25 years Michael has worked as a millwright, welder & snowmaker in the ski industry.  He became know for his ability to fix large scale, obscure problems with innovative inventions of his own making.  This ability to think differently, create with his own hands & work with huge objects can be seen in his art.  Michael's statues range from small & delicate to monstrosities that take four men to lift.  Michael is now co-owner of Little Monkey Metal Works, a large-scale plasma art company that specializes in decorative railings, elaborate fire pits, artistic signs & other custom metal works.
Currently Michael shows his new art for the year exclusively at the Calgary Stampede Western Art Show.  So, if you want to see what’s new you have to head down to Stampede!  Otherwise check out his dedicated gallery at his workshop outside Okotoks. “

Caroline Lady C Fraser

Caroline Lady C Fraser was born in Calgary, Alberta and her family moved to Okotoks, Alberta where her parents still reside. Lady C is now in Toronto, Ontario and continues to wow many an audience with her amazing talent and diverse skill. Her artistry includes dancer, choreographer, singer, songwriter and she teaches dance.

“Lady C is internationally known for her unique versatility and original style in both dance and music…

Lady C began dancing at age 4 doing Ballet, Jazz and Tap.  She continued until the age of 15 when she discovered Street Dance and was captivated by the energy of the music, movement and culture that surrounded it.

She studied multiple styles under many of the pioneers and legends of Street Dance and obtained an ability to move between Popping, Locking, House Hip Hop and Breaking while maintaining the integrity and essence of each one.  

In 2012 Lady C became a member of Soul Shifters Crew (USA) and in 2017 also joined Symbiotic Monsters Crew (Montreal/Toronto).  

Lady C was hired on the cast of Montreal's Ebnfloh Dance Company from 2014-2018 and the cast of Toronto Dance Company Holla Jazz in 2016 whom she is still dancing with today.

Through the competitive, performance and choreography circuit she has travelled the world and gained many accolades such as Juste Debout (North American Locking winner/Paris semi-finalist) KOD World Cup (Canadian Team member), Top Rock City-top 10 worldwide (chosen by street dance legends Mr.Wiggles & Bboy Ynot), Bust-A-Move Locking & House winner (largest Canadian street dance competition), R-16 USA finalist, and a Canadian Hip Hop Dance representative in the 2017 Francophone Games in Cotê D-Ivoire.

​In 2015 Lady C was honoured with the Gadfly ‘Dancer of the Year’ Award in Canada  as well as 2 Canadian Dora Awards for ‘Best Female Solo Performance’ and again in 2018 for 'Best Ensemble (Floor'd)' .”

Jenny Dale

Artist Jenny Dale resides in Okotoks, Alberta.

“Hello! My name is Jenny Dale Stables and I am the artist, author, and educator behind Jenny Dale Designs. I have been creating art for as long as I can remember and I hold a B.F.A. in Painting and a B.Ed. in Early Childhood Education. A former classroom teacher, I now offer services as an Artist in Resident for schools across Alberta, and I teach art classes in the community of Okotoks. I am the author and/or illustrator of 9 published books including Greenie the Wheat King and Robots, Rubber Boots and Red Balloons.

My business, Jenny Dale Designs, was created in 2013 after the birth of my first child. My whimsical artwork celebrates joy, imagination, and childhood; and I write poetry to accompany each one of my paintings.

We couldn't be more proud to have this incredibly talented jeweller in Okotoks. It's said that jewelry is a very personal thing, and that it tells a story about the person wearing it. In the case of Ashleigh Moore's line, the story is one of thoughtful innovation, modern elegance, and chic minimalism. 

Ashleigh graduated with her BFA in Jewelry and Metals from Calgary’s prestigious Alberta College of Art and Design (ACAD) in 2010. She initially began with a degree in Visual Design but soon discovered the magical, tangible, qualities of metal. From there she soon fused her passion for design, with her love of creating pieces of art with her hands.

The rest, as they say, is history, or, should we say the future!

With a keen eye for design and style, and the ability to keep up with the latest design trends, her work has been showcased on the runway at YYC Fashion Week 2013 as a complement to incredible fashion.

Her aim is to design one-of-a-kind pieces of jewelry that are functional, but beyond that, to contrive pieces that enhance the beauty and true elegance of each person wearing her designs. And if you happen upon her Facebook reviews... it sounds like she's achieved it.
