“Jim Mason was born, raised and lived most of his life in the Beatty/Melfort area of Saskatchewan.
He is a self-taught woodcarver and sculptor who combines a wild imagination and sense of humor with creativity and artistic ability to create one of a kind works. Each unique piece has its’ own blend of metal parts and pieces, copper, brass and nickel wire, and additions such as guitar strings, clock parts and computer parts. Basswood, Yellow Cedar, and Jelutong are the carving woods most often used. His work is currently being carried by The Saskatchewan Craft Council, Northern Lights Gallery in Melfort SK, and by the Fallen Leaf Gallery in Canmore, AB.” Jim Mason’s bio
